For holding threads according to DIN 8140-2 tolerance class 5H • two-piece set with tapered lead threads: Pre-tap, 4-lead chamfer (part no. 0140.1…) must be ordered as a separate item; Finishing tap; 2-lead chamfer (part no. 0140.2…). Tap sets are recommended for Thread diameters ≥ M 18; for materials that are difficult to machine also < M 18; pitches up to P = 3,5 mm; machining of materials up to 700 N/mm² • Tap sets reduce the necessary drive torque.
